Since the whole story about SPARK started, we knew mentoring would be one of the most important things we can offer to our startups. The whole list of mentors will be published on our website soon. You will recognize experienced entrepreneurs whose aim is to help young people. But the main question is - when you find yourself in a conversation with your mentor, what to talk about? How to use that time in the best possible way? These are top three topics you should prepare in advance to make conversation interesting and useful - both for you and for your mentor: Stories Everyone loves to talk about themselves. Ask your mentor for a story from their career, their achievements, failures and the like. Hypothetical Situations Consider the hypothetical situations and ask your mentor how would they react and what would they decide. This way you can learn how to make better business decisions, learn from the mistakes of your mentor or get very good free advice. New Skills Is there any new skills you are trying to overcome, such as project management, long-term strategic planning or public speaking? Ask your mentor for an advice and resources to help you in learning new skills.
