Don't schedule any meetings or appointments and book Friday, 8 Nov 2019 for a conference where you will find out what the next thing is in the tech and startup world in BiH and neighboring countries. The Next Thing event will bring together over 250 startups, investors, experts, innovators and representatives of the IT companies at the Mostar Hotel, and they will discuss the future of startups, investments and capital, artificial intelligence, smart cities and more. About the conference The Next Thing conference is a new IT, business and startup event in Mostar. It will be held on Friday, 8 Nov 2019 from 9am to 4:40 pm on the premises of the Mostar Hotel, organized by SPARK and the City of Mostar with the support of partners and sponsors. The main goal of the event is to bring together all individuals, startups, and companies that are anticipating new trends in the business world so that they can share the same with each other and with interested visitors. The conference consists of seven keynote speeches, startup competitions, business meetings, and networking. Each of the speakers has a wealth of experience in business, whether it's launching a startup or working in successful corporate companies. The topics that keynote speakers will cover are entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, management, leadership, innovation, smart cities, and culture. What to expect? After the official opening of the conference, seven keynote lectures will follow, covering topics such as setting and meeting business goals, first investments, all startup stages, as well as successful examples of running a business and managing employees, and trends for smart cities and culture. All of these topics will be covered by experts in their fields, such as Slavko Fodor (LotusFlare/PWNRS, Serbia) or Darko Bilandžić and Mario Mikić-Vučak (Culex, Croatia). After the speeches, lunch is provided for all visitors, which is an ideal opportunity for some networking. The following is the most interesting part - Next Startup x BETAPITCH: startup pitching competition. The eight pre-selected startups will present their ideas to the jury and fight for valuable prizes. Other than a trip to Berlin, the best startup in Mostar will win 5,000 BAM, which will come in handy while launching a startup. The second-best startup will receive 3,000 BAM and the third-best will leave the competition with 1,500 BAM. As the jury selects the winners, at the end of the conference, visitors will be able to listen to two panel discussions on the “Next Steps for Future Founders in BiH” and “The Funding Landscape”.
